Greyton Toad Hall was built in 1855 and still retains many of the charms of houses of this era with its thatched roof and gables.
It also boasts the largest pool in Greyton -that we know of!! A wood fired hot tub adjoins the 10m by 5m sunny salt water pool replete with its own hand painted toad.
Our stoep is famous for watching the activities of the town – being right in the centre of town you couldn't pick a better place to have a gin and tonic and watch the horses (sometimes the cows) amble by and people watch.
The 2000 square metre garden has great views of the mountains and there is both a gas and a wooden braai as well as a wood fired pizza oven. If you are into smoking your food, the wood braai has a smoker attachment.
All restaurants and bars are within a 5 minute stroll – feel free to do takeaway and enjoy it in the garden or on the stoep.
The location is quiet and all dwellings are accessible via the garden gate so you can come and go as you please and all have their own separate entrances.
There is a communal kitchen with all the crockery, cutlery, glassware for 22 people, dining table/chairs seating 12 (plenty more in the garden), 20l air fryer (thus oven, microwave, grilling), fridge/freezer and all cooking utensils, pots, pans etc.
We sleep 18 in 7 ensuite rooms and one dorm room of 4 single beds (shower/bathroom 2 metres away on this cottage stoep) and by arrangement/cost- an additional 4 in the historic house with 2 kings.
